Sorcerers of Sunderland
Sorcerers of Sunderland
The location I have chose is Keel Square located in Sunderland city centre
Here are some examples I got from google maps:
Here is a power point about what my game is about and what the idea is:
Here is my model of the court house I used cubes and rectangles to create it, I used the move tool, rotate tool, I used the cubes as windows and a clock tower:
Here are some chairs and a bin outside of the court house, I used 1 cylinder and 3 cubes and 1 arch.
UV packing: What is UV packing? UV packing is the process of arranging the UV islands, or the 2D representations of the 3D model's faces, in a single texture space. The goal is to fill as much of the texture space as possible, without overlapping, stretching, or scaling the UV islands.

Here is a picture of the court house in Keel Square I got this screenshot from google maps:
An example of my next model, it is some chairs and a bin outside of the court house.
There are the chairs and the bin outside of the court house, I used 1 cylinder and 3 cubes to make this model, very easy and simple to make.
I added a sphere to the clock tower to replicate a clock, I also added a lamp post to add some conditioning to the surroundings, I made the lamp post from just getting a cylinder and scaling it very skinny and stretching it tall.
The similarity between the image and the model are very similar below:
Here is a image of the building being zoomed out, I am now going to model this to make it more relatable to what's there in real life.
I added more cubes and scaled them very large to make the building bigger and more accurate to the picture. I have also used cubes to replicate the windows on the building to the right also.
Short game characters that inspire me to make my character short.
I got this example from google:
I want my character to be short, simple, mostly 1 colour, cartoon.
I chose these characters because there's less detail, less time spent on making things symmetrical, for an example a Fall Guys Character would be easier to model than a Grand Theft Auto character.
1 colour, less detail, it has simplicity, unique, recognisable.
Multiple colours, a lot more enhancements and textures, overall a lot more detail.
just a quick easy model I made in Maya using cubes, rectangles, spheres and using the extrusion tool as well as using the move and rotate tools:
C# Script for my gun:
I have learned how to write C# scripts to make a functional gun in Unity.
My C# scripts:
Gun Project
2 cubes (making the gun) :
Using particle system for effect and to replicate bullets, bullets couldn't be used because of the age rating:
First person point of view, using the gun. show casing what the gun looks like in game:
UV Unwrapping Key Terminology
UV shell: UV shells are connected by edges in the UV editor. Each UV shell represents a portion of the 3D model that can be moved, rotated, scaled, and arranged independently.
UV seam: they are an element of the UV mapping process and are unavoidable when you flatten any 3D object. A seam is the part of the texture or design of the polygon mesh that has to be split for the design to convert the 3D mesh into a 2D UV map.
UV packing: What is UV packing? UV packing is the process of arranging the UV islands, or the 2D representations of the 3D model's faces, in a single texture space. The goal is to fill as much of the texture space as possible, without overlapping, stretching, or scaling the UV islands.
